Eric and Virginia Spangler
ASIA
Join Modesto Free Methodist Church as they help support this couple in the works God has called them to.
Eric serves as our Asia Area Director, and Virginia offers support and care to Asia ministries and missionaries. Eric oversees our missionary team in Asia; partners with Asian national leaders to build a strategy that will grow the church; and works to more purposefully connect the FMC-Asia with the FMC-USA. Eric is convinced the relationship between the church at home and the church abroad can be mutually beneficial.
Eric and Virginia have been a part of the Free Methodist family for more than 25 years, serving as pastor in several churches. Eric is a member of the Pacific Northwest Conference. He also served FMWM from 2002 to 2007 as Director of Mobilization.

- the Lord of the Harvest to mobilize workers, identify and empower leaders, and bring millions to faith in Christ
- wisdom and discernment as Eric and Virginia seek to provide servant leadership throughout Asia

Darin and Jill Land, Philippines
Appointed career missionaries in June 2015, Darin serves as Asia Regional Assistant for Leadership Development. Once the Lands have secured adequate financial support, they expect to live in Manila where they have served faithfully since 2009. While Darin and Jill will continue their connection with Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS), their primary work will be helping to develop and implement a strategy to train and credential Free Methodist leaders across Asia. They will also help support and launch a new outreach ministry to young adults in metro Manila.

GLENN AND WENDY LORENZ, COSTA RICA/LATIN AMERICA
Glenn and Wendy, both ordained elders, were appointed as career missionaries in April 2015. The Lorenzes moved to Costa Rica in January of this year, where they are working alongside local leadership to facilitate the pastoral formation process for Latin America. Glenn and Wendy have served churches in California, Michigan, Arizona and Kansas.
Pray for:
- Glenn and Wendy’s ministry to be Spirit-led and effective
- Wisdom, balance and a God-given vision for current partnership building, as well as future ministry to the people of Latin America
- God’s protection over Libby, Isaac, Jakin and Ellia
